Snacks made easy with YeoValley Little Yeos! | AD

April 10, 2019

SNACKS – the snacking stage is absolutely one of my favourite stages. Life just gets so much easier when you can solve problems with snacks. Can I get an amen?

It is, however, really easy to get into a habit of giving our kids things like biscuits, crisps and other processed goods at snack time. Especially when on the go.

I’m currently on a bit of a nutrition mission and once you open the floodgates, finding healthy food that doesn’t have any secret nasties dressed up with fancy names is really overwhelming.

You’ll find a seemingly healthy snack but when you turn to read the ingredients, it sounds like a science experiment.

I was approached by YeoValley, a company I’ve loved for years (you haven’t lived until you’ve tried their lemon curd yoghurt) to partner up and see what the kids thought of their Little Yeos yoghurts.

So before I said yes, I wanted to do some snooping into the yoghurts and their ingredients. Lets just say, I’m impressed.

First of all, EVERYTHING is organic! So you don’t have to worry about any added nasties. No colours or preservatives – its all natural ingredients.

Most importantly for me though, there is no refined sugar!

Thats the usual problem with yoghurts. If you actually read the contents you’d be shocked at the amount of refined sugar that is added with most yoghurts on the market. What you think is a seemingly healthy food source are actually full of sugar.

So you can imagine my excitement over these little pots.

As a super busy mum to two very small children, I need things to be quick and convenient. These yoghurts are the perfect portion sizes for tiny little tums. To mix things up I will sometimes add a few different portions of fruit to make a little salad which is also a great dessert as it includes so many essential vitamins and minerals for their development.

The idea of organic food always makes me think of expense and whether it will fit within our food budget but the YeoValley yoghurts are priced in line with all of the other leading brands in the supermarket but have significantly better ingredients as well as much less sugar, none of which is refined. Its sweetened only with organic concentrated fruit juice.

A big thumbs up from this Mum and a big thumbs up from the kids!

*This blog post has kindly been sponsored by YeoValley, however all views are my own and we have been buying YeoValley yoghurts for many many years!
