HiPP Organic Bath Range Review

January 6, 2017

As a new mum you soon discover how every little thing feels like a big deal, in the first few weeks of Rory’s life I was horrified when changing him to discover how dry and flaky his skin was after bath times using Johnsons products, no matter how much I would douse him in coconut oil his skin was so dry.

After seeking advice from the Twittershere I was given mixed thoughts, some were mums horrified I was using products on my new borns delicate skin and some mums swore by organic ranges with hefty price tags.

Around the same time Hipp sent me their bath range, initially I was nervous due to my baby’s sensitive skin, however, the difference after just one use was incredible. Rory’s skin was quickly soft and newborn fresh again – hurrah!

For a “free from” range the products are really affordable and I have picked them up in my local Tesco so they’re also accessible which is great! Anything I can pick up with my food shop is a win with me!

What I also love about the range is that the smell isn’t too overbearing post bath time, not only is my new borns skin all soft and squishy again, it also has the gorgeous newborn smell that it should, not smelling of whatever products I am using.

The Range

Hipp Organic Bathtime This is my favourite product from the range, it creates light bubbles with an amazing calming smell which I always find helps to settle Baby Rory.
Hipp Organic Shampoo There are a couple of reasons I love this product, firstly Rory has never really been hit with cradle cap, it’s always been quite mild and I think a lot of it is down to this gentle shampoo. The second reason is that the smell isn’t too overbearing so I still get to enjoy that new born scent post bathtime.
Hipp Organic Body Wash This product is so convenient, the pump allows me to hold the baby with one hand and pump soap onto the sponge with the other!
Hipp Organic Soap This product is great for older kids, there are two novelties – first of all it’s a duck (in a household of southerners with a northern Dad this is especially funny exchanging the different ways people say it!) and also that the soap is foam! Kids LOVE it. Also, when you have a newborn you are suddenly so conscious of germs and will be constantly washing or sanitising your hands – I find that this hand wash is really great at not drying your hands out!

Overall, the Hipp Bath Range gets a big thumbs up from us. I am now really particular about what I put on Rory’s skin and love that this range works really well whilst being super affordable and accessible. Have you tried these Hipp products?

    Hi Georgina!
I am a big fan of Hipp and their products, but sadly their products are really hard to get in the U.S. The Hipp organic formula for my little girl I always get from But they do not sell products like their bath range, which I am sure we would also love.

    All the best,

I might have to try these products because Jess is like Rory and seems to get really dry skin when we use the Johnson's range I think that I am going to have to get my hands on these due to them been such a lovely price tag as some of the other organic ones can be super expensive.

These look great, my eldest had really sensitive skin so I had to be very careful what I used with her so with my baby I used plain water a lot. I have since spoken to an allergy expert who said that using nothing is often worse for skin than using something because the PH of water and skin differ. I've not had a problem using Johnson's, but I also use Infacare and Child'a Farm because of my big girls skin. The Hipp range sounds interesting, I love the duck Hand wash

We love Hipp and have used them, though Patrick did have dry and flaky skin for the first couple of months I think it was just him adjusting to no longer living in a water womb haha.
